continued…from part one.

So what does John do to lift the spirits of the choir?

During the lyrical “Sing Noel,” when some in the choir might be reacing an exhaustion point after 13 songs, he simply asks the ushers for a card or two…with a torn corner.

He simply raises the card in the air, unseen by the audience, but clearly visible to the choir.

The first time I saw that and figured out what he was signifying, I had to choke back tears and a smile spread across my face.

Knowing the symbolism of that card, I felt a spark that overcame any exhaustion, and gave him just a bit more oomph in my voice.

“Sing Noel, the child is come. Sing Noel, the son is giv’n. Sing Noel, let us rejoice! Noel!”
